Local Support

LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing
The Centre provides activites for all LGBT people which promote healthy lifestyles and easy access to mainstream health services in South-East Scotland. The Centre hosts T Time Monthly - a monthly transgender social drop-in for all transgender people and their friends, family and significant others in a relaxed and informal environment. Metropolitan Community Church Edinburgh
A worldwide church celebrating and affirming lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies.  Provides naming ceremonies, relationship blessings, baptisms etc.
Meets for worship on Sundays at 6pm (except August, when they meet in the morning) at Augustine United Church 41, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EL.

Cultural Projects
Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Glasgow

sh[OUT]: Contemporary art and human rights to promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) human rights, art and culture.

It includes outreach projects, major exhibitions, educational arts workshops, arts events, acquisitions and residencies and is GoMA's fourth biannual Social Justice Programme addressing Human Rights through Contemporary Art.

The programme runs throughout the year but the main exhibition is about to open in April 2009.
As part of the exhibition, GoMA will offer a Read, Relax, Respond Space for visitors where they can find out more information and resources on the theme and programme, access related websites, films, audio clips and reading material and leave comments and feedback.

UK Wide Support

FTM Network
The FTM network is an informal and Ad hoc self help group, open to all female to male transgender and transsexual people, or those exploring this aspect of their gender

Local and Regional Support Across the UK

FTM London
Support group for all FTMs, which meets on the 1st Saturday of each month at Trinity United Reform Church, Buck Street, Camden.  Visit their website for details of current activities www.ftmlondon.org.uk.
 
MORF
Social and support group for transguys in Manchester.  Meeting on the 4th Monday each month.  Also organises Marlin Swimming Group, a free event open to all trans people www.morf.org.uk.
 
Western Boys
Support group based in South West England which meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at The Friends Meeting House, Taunton from 6.00 to 8.30pm (except December).  Visit www.westernboys.org for further information.
